Cancer of the Head and Neck (Except Salivary Glands, Thyroid Gland, and Mandible, Maxilla, Orbit, or Temporal Fossa)

     Cancer of the head and neck will qualify for Social Security disability benefits if it meets one of the following criteria:

·        Inoperable, or

·        Not controlled by prescribed therapy, or

·        Recurrent after radical surgery or irradiation, or

·        Has distant metastases, or

·        Epidermoid carcinoma occurring in the pyriform sinus or posterior third of the tongue
